Trystan is 12 years old, and like many kids his age, he has a big dream. But his dream doesn’t involve stepping into the wrestling ring. Instead, it lives just outside of it, behind the microphone.

Trystan’s goal is to work in professional wrestling broadcasting someday. He dreams of becoming a commentator, backstage interviewer, or ring announcer. The voices that help tell the story, explain the action, and bring professional wrestling to life for fans around the world.

Growing up in Florida has played a huge role in shaping that dream.

Growing Up With Wrestling in Florida

Living in Florida has given Trystan the opportunity to attend live wrestling events regularly. With WWE and NXT shows being frequent and accessible, professional wrestling has been a constant part of his life.

Attending live events wasn’t just exciting it was educational. Trystan began to notice how much work goes into a show beyond what happens in the ring. The commentators, ring announcers, and interviewers became just as fascinating to him as the wrestlers themselves.

That’s when he realized something important:there are many ways to be part of professional wrestling.

Inspired by the Voices of Wrestling

Along his journey as a young fan, Trystan has been incredibly fortunate to meet people he deeply admires in the wrestling world, including Booker T, Blake Howard, and Vic Joseph of NXT.

Meeting wrestlers, commentators, and ring announcers helped Trystan understand that voices matter just as much as physical strength in wrestling. These interactions inspired him and gave him confidence that his dream is possible.

Because of medical challenges, Trystan cannot pursue the physical path of becoming an in-ring wrestler like the heroes and villains fans know as faces and heels. While that reality was difficult, it never took away his love for the sport. Instead, it helped him find where he truly belongs.

Discovering Independent Wrestling

Recently, Trystan has taken a strong interest in independent professional wrestling.

Independent shows offer a more intimate setting similar to NXT house shows, which have always been his favorite. These smaller venues allow fans to be closer to the action and create opportunities to connect with the people behind the scenes.

For Trystan, this has been especially meaningful. He enjoys learning from ring announcers and commentators, asking questions, and seeing how different promotions operate. Independent wrestling has helped him understand that this may be where his broadcasting journey could begin someday. At these shows, Trystan gets the best of both worlds:great in-ring action and genuine human connection. If you ever see Trystan at a wrestling event, be sure to give him a high five and ask for his card (pictured below).

Encouragement That Makes a Difference

We want to take a moment to thank the professional wrestlers, commentators, ring crew members, and announcers who have taken the time to send Trystan messages of encouragement.

Those messages mean more than most people realize. On the hard days long physical therapy sessions, medical appointments, or days when Trystan simply doesn’t feel well those words help keep him motivated and excited to keep chasing his dream.

Trystan’s Medical Journey

Trystan lives with a rare connective tissue disorder that affects nearly every part of his daily life. His ligaments stretch too easily, forcing his muscles to work overtime just to keep his body stable. This results in chronic fatigue, joint pain, and an increased risk of long-term joint damage.

In addition to this condition, Trystan manages several complex medical diagnoses:

  • Left Ventricular Hypertrophy (LVH) – enlargement of the heart’s left ventricle

  • Mitral Valve Regurgitation – a heart valve condition causing blood to flow backward

  • Chronic Migraines – caused by scarring in the area of the brain that controls coordination

  • Heat Intolerance – which can trigger fainting and elevated heart rate

  • Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) – a connective tissue disorder causing extreme hypermobility

  • Patellofemoral Pain Syndrome – resulting in floating kneecaps and cartilage damage

  • Syncope – sudden fainting episodes caused by overheating of the cranium

  • PFAPA Syndrome – periodic fevers reaching as high as 106.3°F

To manage these conditions, Trystan participates in physical and occupational therapy and is followed by a dedicated medical team including cardiology, neurology, genetics, immunology, pulmonology, and rheumatology specialists. He uses mobility aids when needed and receives bi-weekly injections administered by his parents.

Still Learning. Still Dreaming.

Despite everything, Trystan continues to dream big. He studies the voices of wrestling. He listens, learns, and believes that one day his own voice could help tell the stories of the sport he loves. At just 12 years old, Trystan isn’t just a fan he’s an aspiring broadcaster in the making.

And his journey is only getting started.
